Epiphone les paul ultra
It appears to be some sort of ground issue.
I can touch the pickup even with the volume knob all the way down and it's still buzzes making it unplayable. In my case it happens only if I touch the bridge pickup or adjustment screw, which my pinky often does. I have problems with noise also, but with both USB and regular output but USB is much worse. do any other Ultra III owners (Les Paul or 339 alike!) have problems with their USB connections? I really don't want to return this guitar as it's perfect otherwise, but I'm not sure if the issues I'm experiencing are just par for the course. Oddly enough, this problem corrects itself if I unplug the USB cable and plug it back in, but that's obviously going to get in the way should I try to record. It's hard to explain what it sounds like exactly, but it's definitely very. Every once in a while after leaving the USB plugged in for a bit, the sound gets all. The noise persists despite whatever pickup combo I'm using (Nanomag/Probuckers/both), or even despite whatever the volume pots are set at. I've tried using a noise gate/compressor, but it just ends up sounding unnatural. There a LOT of background noise when I use the USB connection, at around -30 dB. The main reason I bought it was for the USB connection, as when I work during the week I stay over at a palce where I don't have an amp, so my intent was just to plug this into my laptop to play. The main issue I've been experiencing, though, is with the electronics. I know others have had setup or QC issues with theirs, but I've had no fit/finish problems ever since opening the box and find the neck perfectly suited to my hand. fyi.So I bought myself an Ultra 339 (Pelham Blue) as a Christmas present, and I'm loving the guitar. I've read other forums where folks need parts and can't replace or get them. Don't drive it off the lot unless you read the small print, folks! lolĮpiphone customer service is standing by. I told the guy I was sadly disappointed with the situation and he said "Sorry, just have a tech bypass your tuner." I guess I will. Technology isn't worth a darn if it can't be maintained. I'll pay extra and get a Gibson standard next time. It's a guitar that you better hope doesn't break or you are just out the part that doesn't work. It's bad business and it's poor customer service. So they make them in black but we can't have one.
#Epiphone les paul ultra Pc
Had I known, I would have just bought that, but wanted the technology for my use on the ol' PC hence why I bought the Ultra III. Sad part is, the Epi Les Paul Tribute comes in the exact color Scheme I wanted for $100 less. He advises me to have a guitar tech disable the Min ETune, which I paid extra for as an Ultra III bell & whistle and have them put the black on it, losing the tuner. I asked how do I change the trim plates to black. CALLED EPIPHONE.COM only to be told you can't buy parts, that the scale of said parts is not standard Gibson, so Epi parts are not available unless used. I looked online and found none for sale, figured new technology, so not out there yet. But it has the Min ETUNE in the bridge side humbucker frame. No worries if they only come one way, that's fine. I ordered the Midnight Sapphire and personally wanted the black details as opposed to white.
These only come with white pickup rings, pickguard, etc.
#Epiphone les paul ultra upgrade
PROBLEM IS, when purchasing it, I assumed that you could upgrade and/or change some details on it to make it your own, as with most brands. Nothing is an original Gibson Les Paul, but for my abilities as a guitarist, it's cool. OK, I bought the Ultra III as the technology intrigued me.
